Trade-In Program

Trade-In Your Old Bike for a New One!

What is the Trade-In Process?

Step 1: Check the Value of Your Bike on BicycleBlueBook.com

BicycleBlueBook.com has more than 10 years of pricing information on bicycles and is the top source on used bike prices. Once the price is calculated, we take that amount and put it towards your brand new bicycle.

Step 2: Bring your Bike and Identification

Bring your bike clean, functioning, and in a sellable condition. To do our part to fight bike theft and for your security, we will require the following to process a trade in:

  1. A valid driver’s license.
  2. A serial number on the bicycle that is not defaced or destroyed.

Step 3: SWB Team evaluates the condition of your bike.

Our expert mechanics will inspect the bicycle and guide you through the valuation process using the third-party blue book service BicycleBlueBook.com. If your bicycle will require service and/or parts, these repairs will be deducted from your trade-in value.

Step 4: Pick out your New Bike, Sign the Ownership Statement and Enjoy!

To combat theft, we will ask you to sign an Ownership Statement. You can pick out your new bike and we’ll apply your trade-in amount to your new bike purchase. Then go and RIDE!

Other Considerations

Before you load up your bike into the car, please consider the following:

  • For bikes that do not exist in the BicycleBlueBook database, an ad hoc good faith valuation will be made.
  • BicycleBlueBook.com valuations assume all stock components. Any upgrades/downgrades from the original specification will be taken into account.
  • Some bikes may not qualify for resale and therefore will not be eligible. Many department store bikes (Huffy, Magna, Next, etc.) will fall into this category.
  • Trade in value is loaded onto your store account which must be immediately used. Electronic drivetrain owners – be sure to bring your chargers.
